July 4th, 2001
Biz2Peer Technologies qualifies in second place in "emprenedors-e", a nationwide start-up contest promoted by the Generalitat of Catalonia.
The jury, composed by Ericsson
Innova, Fundación
Retevisión, the Secretary for Information Society of the Generalitat of
Catalonia and Alta Partners, valued the quality of the business plan
and management of our company, as well as the competitive advantages of
the technology created by the company.
The contest was started last month of April, and more than 150 promising
start-ups competed for three months.
Mr. Cortés thanked the jury and the strategic partners that nowadays work together
with the company.They are La Salle Engineering School, CIDEM, an
agency of the Generalitat of Catalonia focused on fostering innovation,
and Barcelona Activa,
the local development agency of the city
of Barcelona. As well as the team, friends, familiy and colleagues
whose support is a key for our development.

Biz2Peer Technologies is awarded the "Best Technology Project in 2000" prize, by SPARK Inversiones and AIJEC, the Independent Young Entrepreneurs Association of Catalonia.
The prize recognises the trajectory of Biz2Peer Technologies as a leading developer of peer-to-peer technology, one of the hottest area of technology development, and the degree of innovation and improvement over other methods of sharing and offering information in distributed networks.
The jury, composed by SPARK Inversiones and AIJEC, afirmed that peer-to-peer technology is one of the hottest areas of technology development nowadays, and that Biz2Peer had an experienced team with solid education both in business and technology with entrepreneurs from ESADE and La Salle, both leading universities with campuses in the city of Barcelona.
Mr. Cortés thanked the jury for the prize, as well as the Biz2Peer team, and all of those, familiy, friends and colleagues, that made the prize possible.

Biz2Peer Technologies wins the Spanish final of Super Nova start-up competition, organized by Tornado Insider, being considered as "one of the hottest Start-ups in Europe".
In tough competition with a group of promising start-ups from Spain, Biz2Peer Technologies was aknowledged as the most innovative, which will allow us to compete in the European final of the Super Nova competition, to be help in Paris, from May 7th to 9th, 2001.
